Each year a number of funding opportunities are made available to research students by organisations outside of UTS.

APPLICATIONS CLOSE

UTS-CSC PhD Scholarship - China

Open to: Chinese citizens or permanent residents of China.

UTS/CSC PhD Scholarships are a product of the collaborative relationship between the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and UTS and are open to students from the People’s Republic of China. UTS offers up to 40 scholarships (CSC IRS) per year.

Value: Covers the cost of tuition fees and an annual stipend that tops-up the China Scholarship Council (CSC) living allowance to the value of $32,500 per annum in the year the scholarship commences.

Funder: The CSC and UTS.

UTS-Vietnam Government Project 89 PhD Scholarship

Open to: Vietnamese citizens

This scholarship is jointly funded by UTS and Project 89 for a maximum of 3 years and 6 months and will provide successful applicants with:

  • A tuition fee scholarship up to $25,000 USD (2023 rate), which, if agreed, may be topped up by UTS to supplement the Project 89 funding
  • A stipend scholarship up to $1,120 USD per month (2023 rate), which, if agreed, may be topped up by faculty to the current UTS base stipend rate
  • An international return airfare and travel allowances
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the time spent in Australia (up to $1,000 USD per year)
